Tokyo is quite bizarre

I hung out with my friend Kelly over the weekend. As we meandered around downtown Tokyo, we discovered all kinds of strange and unique features- clearly, there is something for everyone!

Stop 1: The Bunny Cafe!!

Literally it felt like an apartment where you walk into the living room and there are about 10 rabbit cages along the wall, and a small corner with low tables and cushions. You pay about $6 for a 1/2 hour sitting which includes a complimentary drink (tea, coffee, hot cocoa) and time to play and feed the bunnies- which hop around your feet!

Stop 2: A dessert cafe
Not odd you say...well all the desserts here are made of vegetables! I had Japanese greens cake with tomato slices! There was carrot cheese cake, avocado pudding, asparagus roll cake, and burdock root cake- just to name a few :)

I will continue to track down more oddities! Stay tuned...

  1. Oh my, crazy, funny!
Notice that the sign for the bunny cafe shows the little bunny pooping! and it says "Ra.a.g.f. Rabbit and grow fat". (?)
I love the vegetable desserts! What did you like better, that 'SweetsParadise' you went to on your first week or so in Japan or this one?
