a new look!

When in Japan...

So, I needed bangs! Zara had a coupon for a hair salon, so today we decided to go for it!! It was a lot of fun! We were served tea and coffee while we waited, then were doted on by male hair stylists! I quickly ran out of my feeble amount of Japanese phrases and words- no matter, my hair stylist, Taniyama, and I had plenty of fun making hand gestures and facial expressions to communicate!

What do you think?

  1. It looks great. And I like how much fun the Japanese always seem to have with miming to communicate!

  2. You look great, and so does Zara.
Look at the photo of your stylist's hair. I've noticed this occasionally in some Chinese or Koreans or Japanese who in general have gorgeous, sleek, shiny, thick, jet-black hair; they want it to be different so they style it frizzy, dull- colored and matted....
    Funny, huh?

  3. good point! i didn't comment on the fact that NOT A SINGLE Japanese in the salon- both stylists and customers had black hair!! Customers were in there to get it dyed, and the stylists were already sporting reds, blonds and brunettes! It made me want to dye mine black :)
